I have a thing for old working guns.:)

Just found a Model 1917 variant of the Savage Model 1907, made in 1920 and holds 10 rds. of .32 ACP in a double stack mag.

It is very comfortable and steady in the hand with the flared grips, and handled the ammo I had (S&B and Magtech) flawlessly at the range with moderate accuracy.

The trigger is a strange combination of spongy and stiff with a long pull, not really great, but perfectly adequate when you get used to it.

A good companion for my Colt M1903. Anyone else got one of these (or the M1907?)

Great old pistol tinpig! I have been watching an old savage similar to yours but much less bluing, languish in a local gun store for about a year now. If mags were not so hard to come by I would have picked it up a while ago.

Good old .32s

I have a Savage 1907 manufactured in 1914. It has a lot of bluing wear but it has a lot of class. I also have a couple Colt 1903s (1916 & 1918), Browning 1910, Dreyse 1907 and others. I have a small caliber desease but they are interesting historical pieces.

WNYcollector, do you need mags? I'm sure there are some aftermarket mags available. My Savage came with two originals.
