I have not purchased a new rifle in over 10-years. I have been trying to choose a caliber and rifle for several months now.
I want a long-range rifle that is very accurate without too much fuss.
I have 90% made up my mind on purchasing a Savage VLP model-12 in 300wsm. I will use my existing SS16 scope. I will purchase a suppressor for it also.

So, before I spend the money, I am definitely looking for opinions...!!!

Largely depends on what you consider "long range". Under 500 yards and no living creatures involved a .223 would be plenty. Live animals changes the equation.

I'd take a look at the Tikka CTR or Ruger Precision Rifle. My CTR is in .308, but if you're really going to be shooting out to 1k a lot, the CTR is available in .260 Rem, and the RPR is available in 6.5 CM and fast twist .243. Both rifles are threaded, the CTRs are real shooters, and reports on the RPR's have been favorable.

Edit: Bonus crappy cell phone pic of my CTR with SS12 and 7.62 Saker mounted on a QD brake mount.

I have a vlp dbm in another caliber and it is very accurate and it should suit the 300wsm well for the 1k shots...

That's what I have been seeing all over the net. That model 12's are very accurate out of the box. It's seems kind of funny to call a 300 wsm a varmint rifle (vlp).

Mine was a 22-250 that has been rechambered to 22 middlestead. Using 75gr vld bullets, I have shot 2.5" 5 shot groups at 500yds... it's bone stock with no modifications other than the chambering!
