This week we honored those who have defended our freedoms. Here at THR that means a lot. Thought I'd share this:
Thanks to the Mods for allowing this posting.

Thought this was pretty cool and so simple. Have you ever experienced a military member walk past you and you wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren’t sure how to do it or it felt awkward?

Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used and has started a movement to get the word out. Take just a moment to watch....The Gratitude Campaign...forward to friends if you like!

Or you can just say, “thank you for your service.”

I like it.

Probably will be locked as it's not gun related, but I will pass this along via email so others know about this.

I wonder if the men and women in the military are familiar with the sign?

I like it much better than a verbal "thank you". That always seems awkward

I agree. Last year when we lost 2 of our pilots I remeber one of the memorials a family member said something that always stuck with me, everytime someone thanked Mr. Linder he would smile and say "my pleasure" I thought that is probably one of the best responeses ever. It shows gratitude without that awkward fumbling for words.
