Picked up one of these yesterday on the way to visiting some friends in Arkansas. Price was $450 + tax $488.25 OTD. I had previously handled one at another shop in Michigan last week. Price there was $499 + tax.

Loaded up 5 slugs and blasted them last night. Ooh yeah slugs have some recoil to the them.
The gun fired and ejected them just fine right out of the box.

Pics to follow when the sun comes up.

I missed out on cheap Russian Saiga 12 gauge semi-autos.

Looking online, gunbroker is the place to buy these - $427.44 shipped + transfer.

This one uses all Saiga 12 ga mags and has a bolt hold open latch / feature. Being left handed I like that this has the bolt handle on the proper side of the gun (right side) + the traditional AK47 safety.

Fired 5 mags of cheap Walmart bulk pack Federal 7 1/2 low brass (steel actually) through it earlier. Worked perfectly with gas plug is on the largest dot / port.
Rear sight looks to be dovetailed allowing drift windage adjustments. Shooting at my gong the gun seems to be right on.

I need some more mags...

They already come "converted"?

For under 5 bills I might have to pick one up.

Came with the standard AK pistol grip and stock already installed. Field stripping the gun, I note it has a retaining plate installed instead of a wire shepherds hook.
922r may still be an issue but swapping the pistol grip and stock plus adding a US made gas hockey puck would solve those complaints. Could also swap the fire control group (trigger, hammer, disconnector) with a Tapco G2. However, every review I've seen of the gun has being used as is with extended capacity mags (over 5rds) and drums.

I have bunch of US parts floating around here (spare G2 FCG and KVAR furniture) so I found my local gunshop had a SGM 10rd mag in stock yesterday and snagged it. Other than looking ridiculous it works perfectly. Was able to rapid fire another 25rd box of cheap Federal low brass steel case 7.5 yesterday out back. Can use the gun like a weed wacker.

Here's a decent video of the function of the gun that goes into gas adjustment:

Note they had an issue with cheap drums and bird shot, but that's not really a surprise.

Finished off 200rds (2 Walmart bulk packs) of Federal 7.5 bird shot - no failures of any kind.
Tons of fun.

Very nice, sounds like you have a nice shooter. I bought the Russian VEPR 12 a while back, dumped a pocket full of money in upgrades and came out with a nice rifle. Sounds like you got a better deal than me for sure!

I just got one of these and I'm thoroughly disappointed. Having a lot of issues with it. AGP Mags for the Saiga 12 won't stay in and the last round keeps getting stuck in the gun. The bolt won't release it and I have to take the gun apart to get it out.

Any suggestions or help?
