Not a firearm question but close. This Seventrees, New York City branded ammo holder was in a S&W box I purcased with a 1969 dated receipt. I have found some info on Seventrees and its founder and see that Null has the exact ammo holster in the online catalogue. Anyone have info on when these were produced and a lead on a J frame Seventrees holster to go with it?

Any information appreciated. Thank you, Bill

I seem to recall Paris Theodore as being the founder and owner of Seventrees which was located on the west side of Manhattan on thirty something street. His holsters were top of the line and the prices reflected it. I also remember he designed and marketed the ASP pistol which was a bobbed and modified Smith & Wesson Model 39 semi-auto pistol. I believe Paris Theodore was the first to modify a large frame production pistol into a truly compact handgun. I remember him being in business in the 1970s, possibly earlier and, if I remember correctly, Paris Theodore eventually succumbed to alcoholism.

I had Seventrees custom make me a holster in the early to mid 70s. It was fully molded when few were doing that and it was a work of art.

I told them what I wanted and they made it to my specs, including angle, color, size belt loops, etc. Especially liked it because no one else had any left handed holsters at all for the just released model I carried.

They were also doing a lot of work for NY based FBI during that period.

Finding one of their products at this point would be a long shot.

Another custom holster maker in NYC at the time was Chick Gaylord.
