Hey Tucsonians, lets do some shooting. We are going to the gunshow Sat morning at opening and then out to run some reloads thru a chronograph.

Anyone else wanna join? Lets make plans.

I wasn't planning on going to the show this weekend, but I was planning on the show in two weeks at the TCC (it is after the big pay week)

But where are you planning to shoot? I might be able to make it with my wife.

Either at the new Tucson range next to the Fairgrounds or the pit.

I have heard folks getting chased off from the pit. So anywhere else is an option.

I am gonna be clocking some rounds thru the chronograph with the 30-06, 10MM and some .45 from the Kimber and Taurus 24/7.

Its still early in the week so I am open to suggestions. The wife is working Saturday so I got the whole day to screw off without getting in trouble.

Did you see the map to the other place I posted? No fears of being chased off from there as far as I know. And cidirkona had another place, but required 4x4s to get to.

Last weekend up at the Buckeye AZ get together with Thefumegater.

I stopped by the Sportsmans warehouse off I-10 and Dysart. That was a mistake. I dropped $170 and that was with a 5% military discount.

I picked up 500 rounds of West Coast 230gr FMJ bullets, 1lb of Power Pistol powder, 100 rounds of 200gr Hornady XTP 10MM bullets, 100 Speer 200gr Gold Dot JHP for the .45, a case trimmer for the 06, Rem Oil, and a F-1 Master Chronograph.

The Chrony was on sale for $69.

That was lower than what I could get it from MidwayUSA. No printer though. I'm shopping around for one now.

BTW, the salesman at Sportsmans Warehouse said they are going to open one up here in Tucson shortly :D :D

$69 :what:

Wow, good price for sure. That'll be cool, another gun shop, hopefully they open up near that 3 store stop of West of the Pecos, Jensens, and Rich's Gun Room (who has some low prices on stuff).

Sportsmans Warehouse had 3 big rows full of reloading stuff. Prices were pretty decent on most of them. The 45 bullets were a bit high ($41 per 500) but if I ordered them from Midway and paid shipping it would of been the same either way.

Tons of guns and supplies as well. If you ever get up by Glendale then by all means stop in there. Just be sure to take the checkbook or a credit card with plenty of room.

Doesn't look like I will be able to make it this weekend, have some stuff to take care of, namely taxes, I have to take a ride up to Phoenix to drop off our paperwork with my wife.

Try and stop by the Sportsmans Warehouse when you go up that way.

Did you see the thread about one coming to Marana this year?

No Mywall or anything.

Yeah, the Miwall site didn't list that show as being one they would be attending, they will be at the TCC one though. I think the last time that the group who put that show on had a pretty bad show too. So now, if Miwall isn't there, I don't even plan to bother.

I have extra reason for the TCC one though, a guy at work would like to get a revolver, so I will be helping him out at the show.

How did the Chrony work? Fun? Interesting? Too much trouble?

www.miwallcorp.com

They attend gunshows here in the west of the US, really good prices on stuff and huge selection. Before I reloaded, I bought from them, and now that I reload, I still buy most of my stuff from them!

It's my stamp of approval for a Tucson gun show, no Miwall, means it is probably bad like the last no Miwall show.

The Chrono works great. I put about 160 rounds of 45 ACP thru it yesterday and some 30-06 rounds.

My -06 is pushing 2925 fps with a 150gr Power Point bullet and is accurate as hell.

The Chrono is a must have I think for reloading. Heck, Im even gonna shoot my bow thru it to get it ready for next deer season.
