Shooting glove recommendations

Greetings all,
Started the break in of a new AR today. This one I am leaving stock as it is just for use as a “day at the range” firearm.
However, the hand guard around the barrel got extremely warm during the break in. I like the hand guard and don’t want to change it.
Any recommendations for gloves to use (really “glove” for my left hand) to resist the heat while shooting?

If it's getting that hot your accuracy will be suffering tremendously. I guess if you like mag dumping go for it and get you a pair of those mechanics gloves...

I missed where he said he was burning out his barrel by shooting it constantly and excessively.

Barring some heavy recoil arms--like some of the TCs or the bolt action pistols (308 in an XP-100 is a handful), a recoil-secific glove can be more trouble than it's worth.

I find a quality mechanic's or plumber's glove far more effective. Lightweight, has "grippiness" where needed, if you shop well, moisture and (limited) solvent resistant, too.

And, if your significant other looses a ring down the sink, pretty handy for when you get to wrestles the P trap off, too.

How many rounds did you shoot during this break in?

What exactly did you do to break it in?
