I was just told by a gun shop elsewhere in Indiana that the Performance Center was prepping to produce a short barreled .44 Special Thunder Ranch revolver. I asked if this was the same heritage style revolver that is presently out, and was told that this is something altogether different.

I've checked the Smith website, and haven't found anything there, and tried to go to the Thunder Ranch site, but wasn't able to access it for some reason.

Anyone heard anything about this, or is this just an enticing rumor? Inquiring minds want to know! :D

Thanks,

Ed

I haven't heard anything.

I sense, reading other websites, that Clint Smith and S&W had a falling out due to the high price of the revolver.

S&W needs to quit screwing around on the M21 and produce it as a N frame sized M&P for the working man--meaning a working gun for about $400-450.

Assuming that anyone in Springfield knows what any of those terms mean.

Dienekes....

Yess...yessss! A Mod 58. Different barrel and chamber it could be anything , a .357..41..44 spec..44 mag...45 acp...45LC. Make a blue and a stainless. 4" fixed...Nothing wierd. It would be so easy to do and, I think, what alot of real revolver fans want. Why its so difficult, I don't understand.
