The Strac Fast System is a spring loaded mag carrier. We watched the salespersom swap AR mags in about 1.5 seconds, though someone at one of the Ranger battalions can consistently make mag changes in .8 seconds. I believe John got some video, but this is seriously cool.

It only holds 3 rounds, but the point isn't to be a regular mag carrier. This is for those drills that we called "react to contact" way back when -- for when you need to get rounds downrange ASAP. 3 round capacity on this, though they have a version designed to be mounted in a tower that has more capacity (I want to say 10 mags, but I can't find the literature.)

It's ambidextrous -- mounts on right or left of any standard MOLLE carrier.

This is the STRAC GRIP. Pretty self explanatory, since this is the way John holds an AR anyway (he has Hobbit arms, you understand) he was quite excited by this.

Yeah, they didn't like it when I said, "It's a magazine magazine!" But that's what it is.

I use it...

I have been using the Strac stuff for a few years, great rig, FAST, it's with my roll out/patrol gear. I run mine on an OSOE MWRL but have had it on an Eagle Recon and a couple of other chest rigs. Good stuff. Worth the $.

I snagged a grip last summer, it too works great (although I am VFG kinda guy). If you shoot with your hand on the mag well, this might be the accessory for you.

Regards,

Andy
