The first item is the Lifelight. Not cheap, at probably $130-ish retail, but quite full featured. It's a simple twist on/off design, with a lifetime warranty (unless you flood it with saltwater and don't rinse it out -- it's waterproof to 600 feet by the way). It is very bright and runs on three AA batteries. Expected runtime:
250 - 275 lumens for 3-4 hours (lithium is better i believe)
After 72 hours of running continuously it is down to 50 - 80 lumens.
After a week of continuous runtime it still offers enough light to read a watch or compass. Heres a photo:
