Shot my first reloads today

Just got back from the range after shooting my own reloads for the first time and I'm as happy as can be! No FTF's, FTE's or kabooms! Accuracy was much better than any plinking ammo I have ever bought as well. They were
9mm's fired out of my CZ 75B (a gun I'm really falling in love with). I will admit I was nervous wondering about what might happen. Didn't crimp these either but it seemed to make no difference. Reloading is a great hobby!

Well all i can say is your in trouble.

soon your going to be like the rest of us and wanting to go shooting just to have the empties to reload. yep i can see it now. then your going to learn about casting. then your going to start making your own bullets. then your going to need more room to store your cast bullets your lead your sizing dies.

I think reloading enhances shooting. I enjoy sitting at the press making rounds.

I got some dirty looks from a couple of people at the range. I guess I got a little eager in my brass scrounging! I was only shooting 9mm but ended up with a bunch of .40 and .45 and I don't even have a .45 (yet)!

who cares. we all have done that. i still do. problem is you start picking up so much other brass you have to sort it all out. no problem. just trade with others or sell the brass to other reloaders. In fact thats what kids are for. My 8 year old can fill up about a gallon jug full of brass. In a matter of minutes. Helps keep the shooting cost down when you can sell the brass or trade it for what you need.

Congrats. I love my CZ too. Keep picking up brass and don't worry about the looks. They will be sorry one day that they weren't brass whores. I have picked up at the range about 15,000 of 9mm, 4,000 of 223, 2,000 of 45 ( I think that's enough to justify buying a gun for it ) and 1,000 40 that I'm going to use for trade and a contest on GTR. I usually ask first if someone picks up their brass for reloading. More often than not, they'll be happy to pick it up themselves and pile it up or box it for you. Otherwise, they'll just leave it there for you to pick up. I don't run into a lot of reloaders on the range I frequent. Ettiquette demands that you observe and ask before picking up someone else's brass. That's why marking is so important.
