Should I bother with a Kel-tec Sub 2000?

Here is a pic of my S2000 with a 10/22 with a Tapco stock (shoots impressively well), my NEF 12 Ga. and my new DPMS Panther Lite 16. My KelTec also shoots great and has it's own niche in my small 'arsenal' of weapons. I have since changed the scope position with a Mossberg 500 mount right over the receiver and not up front anymore. Shoots exactly where you put the red dot. It sure beats throwing stones!

For some reason, I can't find anything I want in my area. I was never able to find a Sub2000 when they were priced reasonably, about a year ago. I found one around here for $410 a couple weeks ago (with a 33 round mag). That same guy was at the recent gun show selling it for $500 now. Then, I went to another gun shop and he had one for $590!!!! ***! It seems I will never buy one of these. I know it is a great gun!! I am just practical... I don't see enough "need" for it in my selection to warrant paying more than about $375.

Thank you for all the info. I am still interested.

P.S. I am a little bitter (not finding guns that I want) since my friend just found a gun that he knew/knows nothing about, until I told him all about it. I have searched for one for a year. He called and asked me what it's worth and then said "cool, I'm buying one"

I've got an early type aluminum receiver sub-9 with a glock grip. It is my house gun that is always loaded and folded. Loaded with cor-bon 115 HPs. A step up in ballistics over a 9mm handgun and the cor-bon 115 bullets should expand more violently with the velocity increase and not over penetrate. I cannot remember the exact ballistics but I believe it is starting to nip the heels of the vaunted 357 magnum due to the added velocity.
