I recently posted a thread soliciting opinions between two guns and bought a Steyr S9, which has turned out very well.(After the initial break-in.)I am looking at an Astra Constable, and several FEG's Any thoughts?(Both in 22 and 380,just for fun.)
Thanks to all who respond.

The Astra Constable I had about ten years ago was the best .380 I ever owned.

I had it and a new PPK at the same time. The Astra was a much better gun than the Walther at less than half the price.

I kept the Astra and sold the PPK.

About 5 years later I let a friend borrow the AC when he went on a fishing trip.

Today the Astra is somewhere at the bottom of Dale Hollow Lake and my "friend" still has my foot print on his butt. :cuss:

Since then I have looked for another AC but I have never found one at any of our local gunshops.

If you have a chance to buy one at a reasonable price you had best get it quickly. It will make you a fine little gun.

I don't know what they sell for now because I have not seen one in ten years.

If I remember correctly I gave about $250 for mine used a long time ago.

Well for the money FEG's are hard to fault. Simply put the only thing Id fix wiht most of the Walther style guns are the DA trigger pull. A main hammer spring is an easy fix for it also.
The Constable is a good gun.......parts may be hard to find if any repairs are needed....but either way you are getting a nice gun.
Shoot well...........
