Here's a question I wanted to get out of my head and get some new perspectives on.
I have an AAC SDN-6 that I use on 5.56, 300blk, .308 (all AR style rifles) and a .308 bolt gun. It doesn't always like to mount up tight and lock on the last tooth. It's not much of a problem although it did have an end cap strike (as many cans do). My friend is offering to buy it, which would give me the funds to upgrade to a can that will handle magnums.
Bottom line: Do I sell the SDN-6 and get something like the SilencerCo Omega?
Pros: I get a better quick detach can that isn't as likely to have mounting issues or wear-prone parts. It'll cost me around $500
Cons: More wait time, I'll only have one silencer.
I can also keep the SDN-6 and get a direct thread mount can that can handle magnums. Pros: I have two silencers for me and my buddies, it's lighter and more of a precision suppressor.
Cons: It'll cost $700+ even for a GemTech Tracker
What do ya'll think? Did I miss anything?
