I bought an SAR9 recently that came with a spare optic cut slide and a cheap, broken crimson trace cts1500 red dot sight. I think these things were about $60 on Amazon. Cheap polymer sight, nothing special.
I sent Crimson Trace an email. They asked me to send them pictures of the broken cts1500. A week later a brand new Crimson Trace RAD micro was in my mailbox. No other questions, no hassles over receipts or warranty registrations, no questions about the original purchaser, just asked for my address.
So that's pretty good customer service in my book, the RAD is aluminum and retails for about 3x what the cts1500 did. Since I only paid $250 for the Sar9 and extra slide, Crimson Trace just made my day.
