Anyone know the thread size for a Smith and Wesson revolver? Mounting a AimTech No Drill Scope Mount and it only came with one socket screw. They are so small I'm scared to take one of the others to the fastener store to match up. I'm sure they are SAE not metric.

What vintage is the gun? There have been some changes recently with the new style yoke screw. All of mine are 60s/70s/80s guns with 5-44 screws.

Thanks, I found that is the size of mine. Now to find a fastener store that sell some socket screws in that size locally.

Might be tough to find anything locally. Try Ace, Fastenal, and similar. Realize that you may not find the right length and may need to shorten the screws. Also, while it is the same as the other domed side plate screw, the yoke screw must be fitted to the yoke to allow smooth opening/closing operation and no yoke end shake.

You might just call Aimtech - http://www.aimtech-mounts.com/contact-us/

I called Smith and had them send a few side plate screws 5-44x220 JKLN and yoke screw assy (product code 22916000). Smith was less than $2 for a side plate screw. They were cheaper than any online supplier I looked at. The screws fit my 10-10 and 10-14.
