Anyone load them for .223 in an AR? Good, Bad, Ugly? I have some Win 64 gr that I load for my AR and they do an OK job. I really like Sierra bullets as a rule and wonder if anyone has anything positive to say about these 65 grainers.

I've used them. Mostly for shooting deer. One of my favorites.
I mostly use the 63grn SemiPoint but my Rem. Mod7 w/1/12" bbl shoots the GK as well as it shoots anything.
They are too expensive for plinking, but are 1/2 the cost of Nosler Partitions, and work just as well for their intended purpose of hunting light big game (deer and pigs, or such).

For "blasting" with an AR, stick with the FMJ. BUT if you have a 1/9" bbl, or tighter, and want a good hunting bullet, the Sierra is great.
However, my 1/14" .22-250 won't adequately stabilize the longish boat-tail, so I keep the 63gr FB on hand instead.

Thanks guys. Mine Sig M400 5.56 is a 1:7 so it ought to shoot them fairly well. Want to make a hunting load for pigs and coyotes with it.

I loaded a box of the sierra 65 hpbt GK. My AR is a 20", 1/9 and they shot minute of coyote kill zone at 200 yds...and I only have a 1.5 x 4.5 Bushnell on my gun.

disclaimer: I've never shot a coyote...talking group size here. :D

Really, they shot OK but I mostly shoot 55gr bullets with a good amount of Privy 62gr fmj added in.

Like I said, I only loaded one box. I think I used H-335 in the loads. If I try them again, I'll try "Tac"

I have very good luck with grouping using these bullets ... they also do a good job on S. GA whitetail at reasonable range ...

This bullet is one of the few that did group well with my Son's Sig M400 ... not much so with others ...
