I have a 226, West German model that has a great DA trigger pull but the single action mode is way too light. To the point where I've two unintentional double taps when shooting in SA mode. None of my other Sigs are ever close to being this light of a trigger pull. Any thoughts.

Is it new or used? Uses guns can have all sorts of who-knows-what done to them.

New or used?

I would check to see if the hammer spring might of been changed. If you do not know how to do this then I suggest sending it to Sig as they have great customer service and are good at fixing issues like this. Feel free to ask any questions if you want to know more about checking the hammer spring.

Be careful sending the German made Sigs in for service. You may loose your better parts tool steel sear to mim parts. The German made sigs have better internals in my book. Check to see if you have the plastic or metal main spring housing. Should have the metal one if it's 100% German. Sometimes these get changed out for the plastic one for it's easier to service and lightens the trigger some used is the QST. You say the trigger is light in SA. Have you measured the pull. It could be just that it requires very little movement (rearward travel) to release the hammer. This is a easy fix that only take s few wipes on a stone to increase sear/hammer engagement. Most of the German Sigs I've checked have ~ 3lb SA where the DA is around 10lbs.

If it has the quick reset the internals have already been changed.

Sig has changed their sourcing on parts. As such, I'd be inclined to send it to Bruce Grey to have it looked over and pay.
