Sig customer service experience

There has been some chatter in recent months about the decline in Sig's customer service. If that was ever a problem they have resolved it based on my experience.

I sent a newly acquired used 229 in for their special-- install night sights and replace the springs for $99-

When I phoned Sig my call was answered quickly and after a very brief time waiting I was connected to a pleasant and efficient service rep. After I shipped the pistol I received a phone call from Sig telling me the gun had arrived. Sig had my pistol about 8 business days before it was shipped back to me.

It arrived back home in great shape. I am very pleased with Sig's service.

Maybe they were nice to you since you were paying for a service, instead of sending your gun in for a warranty (note: free) repair. ;)

Could be! But then again, I've never needed any warranty service on any Sig I've owned.
 
First time I took my 220 apart and put it back together, the trigger refused to reset after the first shot. I screwed it up, pure and simple. I called Sig to see how much they'd charge for the repair...and the answer was nada...zip. They even paid for return shipping. Whole affair took a week and a half, and cost me $18 total. Sig customer service is among the best.
 
I have never had an issue with SIG

But then again, I have never had to send one in for service. I have called them a few times to ask questions.
 
While I've never needed warranty repair I have called them with simple questions and have had work done on request. Sig CS has always been great with the questions, the work I've requested has always been top notch and turnaround has always been just what they told me it would be.
