Sig p226 legion or 92FS

My question was, are 226 "Legion" models single-action pistols; acknowledging that, if they are, they will have manual safeties.

Legion pistols, at least the hammer fired ones, come in both SAO and DA/SA.

So yes, if they are SAO they have a safety, very similar in location and function to a 1911. If they are DA/SA they do not, just a decocker.

The main difference in the Legion series is a different frame (beavertail and undercut trigger guard) special finish that I think is currently Cerakote and thinner G10 grips. Plus some slicked up grayguns triggers.

Oh and a lot of marketing hype.

The beavertail and undercut make them worth it to me, fit my hands worlds better.

Having owned and shot both P226s and the 92FS, I can say I definitely prefer the SIG.

Both are great pistols, but the ergonomics and simplicity of the P226 make it an easy win for me.

I have no experience with red dots on either (though I do on other pistol designs) so I can’t speak to how either performs with an optic.

SIG is way better. It is very reliable and shoots super tight groups.

The Beretta is excellent. It's better than any SIG. It shoots super tight groups and is very reliable.

Both are available in single action versions.

So you guys convinced me to but both. I have a p226 legion rxp on the way and put my name on the waiting list for a Beretta LTT cut for a red dot.

Man that’s awesome! Would love to hear your compare/contrast after you get them both
