I'd ask this question at the Sig Forum, but I don't feel like setting up another email account so that I could post or search their forum. The Sig forum doesn't accept yahoo and hotmail accounts.

Anyways, I've got a quick question: do all p250 pistols have stainless steel slides? Specifically, are the nitron coated slides stainless under the finish? Anyone know? How about the barrels? Are they high carbon steel or stainless?

Yes the P250 is a milled stainless steel slide either coated in Nitron or left as stainless.

Thanks...

I thought as much but was just curious. I like these pistols, a lot.

Sounds like most of the "teething" issues have been resolved. I might have to look into getting one of these. I love glocks and XDs, but I just love the flexibility of these guns. My wife struggles with the concept of having "lots of handguns".

This is a good solution. I get the gun that I want, and if I want a different caliber or a different size, I just get the kit for about $350 or so. It's almost like getting one SLR camera and then getting different lens for different applications. I know that I could just get two glocks or two XDs for just a little more money, but the fewer handguns in my safe, the happier the wife is.

They are decent guns. I personally think that the trigger pull is really long. It is not heavy but long. Similar to the first pull of the DAK but it lacks the second shorter follow-up stroke.

I did not have issues with mine but sold it because it did not do anything better than the Glock.

Trigger...

The long trigger travel doesn't really bother me. I'm a double action revolver guy. I'm used to shooting guns with long trigger pulls and resets. I'm used to having the trigger "go all the way back".

I'm not a competitive shooter or a cop. If I ever needed to use a gun in a home defense situation, I'd probably use my GP100.

I highly recommend the P250.

I'm not a huge fan of Sigs, mainly because of the way they fit my hands. They are, though, great weapons. I have several and of those the only ones I really care for are the P220 and P232.

Then they came out with the P250. I checked one out in the local shop and ended up buying a 9mm.

It's been to the range for thorough testing with various types of 9mm ammo, and it has proven to be a fantastic firearm.

It shares duty as my CCW w/ a J-Frame. I know some folks aren't crazy about them, but I'd buy another without hesitation. Note: I don't have any intention of changing it from its current configuration. It fits and works well, so I'm happy with that.

Hope this helps.

New Frames...

Oh... One other question... I haven't been able to make it out to the local gunshop in a while. Does anyone know how much the replacement frames are selling for?
