Beginning of winter I picked up a Sig P365 Co2 .177 BB pistol, and made a vid of shooting it for the first time. No table top review, or in depth information on the pistol itself, but rather my just giving it a try at some shorter defensive range distances. One slight obstacle is the temperature where I'm shooting (in the unheated barn..lol) was 27-28F, as winter cold temps came pretty early. The gun functioned very well for the colder temperature, and accuracy was better and more consistent than I expected. While there's no denying the 'cool factor" in having a micro bb pistol, I actually bought it to practice shooting 'trigger time' for the real Sig P365 I have. This bb pistol is a near exact replica in feel, basic function, and just a bit shy weight wise, but certainly a lot cheaper to practice with.

Nice review. I'm curious how, having used this for a while, you think the practice is or is not helping with your shooting of the 9mm 365. Seems to me that having a BB trainer would be a good idea, but I'm not finding much info so far.

Thanks!

For me, yes I believe it helps. It's basically like dry firing the real 365 only you get bb pistol shooting feedback. Also, it's just plain ole extra trigger time which helps me with most all my pistol shooting to some degree. I have several different sized and shaped bb and pellet pistols that I believe shooting them regularly (or semi-regularly) helps grip, hand and eye coordination, trigger control, etc.

Great, thanks! I would think that sight alignment, trigger control, etc. would pay dividends on whatever else you shoot also. The fact that the platform is the same should be a plus.

And from the dead it comes....

I had one of these and really liked and benefited from it. Sadly about a month in it died. Started doing full auto with a new co2 cartridge the first time I pulled the trigger. It'd run off about 5 firing iterations w/o firing bb's. Then it'd be good after that. Within 2 days the co2 cartridge started leaking. Ended up taking it back to Academy but looking for another one. Paid 79.00+T at Academy. Found'em at Cabela's for $119.99. Bit rich. Seen'em on line for 99.99. I'm just waiting for Academy to get'em back in stock - if they ever do.
