Been looking at lights for my P226 and found the SIG STL-900L light/laser combo but have found some bad reviews on it saying that the battery runs down even when off and that you cant zero in the laser that well.

Just wondering if anyone on here has used one and what you thought of it or if you have had luck with other lights, not to concerned about having a laser on it.

Thanks in advance

Is the laser for intimidation or for actual aiming? I've noticed that it takes most people longer to see where there laser is pointing than to quickly align the handgun's sights. I have a Streamlight for my pistols and haven't been disappointed.

Well sure enough my battery is dead! The lazer zero'd OK but if the battery drains when off the POS is WORTHLESS! The Streamlight TRL1 has been best for me BTW.

Anyone else send theirs back to SigSauer for that lifetime warranty? They are gonna have a hard time fixing this battery run down in off problem! No excuse for not catching the defect in engineering OR QC.:fire: I tried 3 from store I got it. All three killed sure fire batteries in a week left OFF.:cuss:

I use the Insight Procyons myself on two shotguns backed by green lasers zeroed to about 20 yards. I see green first before I see red.

They havent drained off yet... but I backed off the lasers with a ring of solder on the inside of the momentary switches turning them into twist on, twist off.

wax on. wax off... wax. on. wax. off.

where was I oh yes...

If the light is stored upside down, the battery dont sneak out and run down on me. *Knock on wood.
