sights for a savage??

just picked up a savage markII .22lr. i had it out today for a bit and like the rifle but the sights are terrible. does anyone have any recommendations on a peep sight or other iron sights that would be an upgrade?? trying to keep this low budget as well. a scope might be in the future, but would prefer iron sights on this one.
