Hello everybody.

Ive been using silicon spray as a bullet lube in my .357 bullets.
Everything works just fine, no leading, accuracy is better than ok....but...
What I wanted to know is that what does silicon spray do to your barrel?
Is it corrosive?
Ive shot about 350 rounds and havent noticed anything yet but I thought its better to ask from more experienced shooters in THR.

If you leave any on the base of the bullet while it is still oily, it will contaminate the powder.

Some machine tool manufactures caution that excess use of silicon spray is mildly abrasive, and will increase tool wear over time.

The same caution would apply to your barrel.

Got to wonder, with so many excellent real bullet lubes available, why you even want to use it?

Thanks for the information.
Makes me think twice using silicon spray.

Why I wanna use it....well I just happen to have it
a lot (I mean a LOT).
I guess I start using Lee liquid alox....dont want to mess my barrel(s) up.
