I went out at the end of the day and bought a brand new Marlin 1894C in 357 Mag! I finally was able to replace my 1894CS that I had to sell over 10 years ago.

Fit and finish seem pretty good. The checkering looks good. The lever is nice and smooth. In fact it seems much smoother than my old gun.

Awhile back I checked out a Marlin 357 at the same store. I want to say it is the same one, but I would have been on the shelf for awhile then. The store did have another one in stock, but I liked this one better for some reason.

I'll post some pics when I can and sadly I won't be able to shoot it until sometime next week.

Good deal.

I have a Marlin 1894 in 357 Magnum that I bought 30 some years ago and I enjoy the rifle. I hope you enjoy your new one as well.
