I enjoy carrying my Shield and 43 IWB and my double stacks OWB.

Like most of you, I have the "holster drawer" that is full of holsters that i have tried and experimented with over the years and have found things that work so far.

But, lately, I have been experimenting with the single stacks closer to the small of my back, between 4 and 6 o'clock area and like it. The barrel has been pointed everywhere between 7 and 9 o'clock while experimenting.

Never had a holster that would put a gun in this area, at this cant. Not even sure what that style is called. So, before I decrease the empty space in my holster drawer.;)

What type of holster am I looking for? Brand? Cant? Anyone else carry like this?

As long as the holster's not over the spine, it's not really unsafe. I have experimented with holsters at 4:30-5:00 with more cant, and they can work well for certain guns.

I can stay off the spine. The 4:30-5:15 area seems to work well for me. I just need more of a cant than a traditional holster. A sticky holster would work anywhere, but I want something more secure in its location.

Here's one I did for my SIG 1911 that I wear in that location; works well, hides VERY well (for me.)

And one for a Glock 43 (OWB)

Thanks for the pics and info so far all. I am not going over the spine, too uncomfortable as far the the reach. From what I have read so far, looking for a IWB holster that has me going "palm in".
