I'm not big on bringing a gun with me when I ski. Except for a small fanny pack, I really haven't found a good way to carry one. This is a reminder of what we all know - that violence can break out anywhere, so it's best to be prepared.

BOULDER, Colo. - A ski resort worker opened fire Tuesday morning on fellow employees at a small resort in the mountains west of Boulder, killing a supervisor and fleeing before a sheriff's deputy shot him to death.
The unidentified gunman walked into a maintenance shed at Eldora Mountain Resort where other employees were changing into their work clothes at 7:30 a.m. and started yelling about religion, Boulder County sheriff's officials said. They did not provide details about the gunman's statements, but one witness told reporters that he questioned them about their religious beliefs.
He then fired a shot into the ceiling, resort officials said.
When Brian Mahon, the resort's general manager, walked in and asked what was going on, the gunman shot him, Undersheriff Tom Shomaker said.
