I have an SKS I am going to start reloading for but I need to slug the bore to get the right bullet size. I have never slugged a bore but I do know the basic process. What size of lead ball should I use to slug it? and where can I get just a couple?

Thanks,
Matt

Walmart fishing tackle department.

Look for lead egg or slip sinkers big enough to just be oversize. If you get home and find they are slightly too small, you can whack them with a hammer to expand them.

Be careful to get real lead sinkers.
There are a lot of "lead-free" sinkers being made now that are too hard to use for slugging a barrel.

good idea, I never even thought of using those. Thanks again rc, you always seem to be the one to help me out.
