I love mine. I have a 5" model of 1989. I like shooting it so much I'm getting the 625PC next week. There are nice loading tools for the moonclips & plastic clips that load with out tools.

I think some do, but Why? Take a very nice gun in a relatively mild caliber and then overstress it with a wildcat? Why not use a 629? Save the 625 for important stuff. Use a magnum gun when you really want to make noise. It provides that excuse you may need to get another gun.

I thought I wanted one but they are expensive so I bought a Brazilian contract military surplus version for $200 to play with. Now I REALLY want one! Full moon clips make revolvers practical for combat shooting.

The .460R is hardly a wildcat given that several commercial ammo manufactures produce it. And at least 2 gun manufacturers have had commercial guns so chambered.

Nevertheless, I have a 629 (and a Ruger SRH in .44Mag), great guns and a great caliber. Both are multi-caliber guns, which I like and I'm looking at making the 625 multi-caliber, too. As to overstressing it, the 625 is identical to the 629 in every way except the bore and cyl diameter. If the 629 isn't over stressed by a .44Mag, why would the 625 be with what is effectively the same load? The fact is it wouldn't be.

Not quite, the 625 is bored with larger diameter holes making the cylinder slightly thinner in those places. Resulting in a bit less material to hold the pressure. They can hold more pressure than factory but is it worth the risk? That is for you to decide. Linebaugh wrote about his testing and how he loads the 45 long Colt to challenge the 44 Magnum. He makes a good argument.

Long ago, I discovered the pleasure of using the 45 long Colt at original ballistics, 260 grain bullet at 900 pfs. Enjoy shooting, at whatever level you choose!

Anyone have any experience with these? Love shooting .45 auto but sick of chasing cases. Also, have a re-found love of revolvers. Let me know your thoughts, accuracy, quality of build, etc. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
I would learn love to shoot .45LC out of a revolver because having revolver to shoot pistol cartridges is like having bull with milkers or cow with a penis.
