I'd appreciate a recommendation for a good 49"-50" soft padded semi-auto shotgun scabbard with a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry along with my pistol bag and other gear. I've been using a cheap hard case that I hate and is awkward to carry from range to range.
I did some searching on line but the info was skimpy for 99% of what I saw. One Berretta bag looked okay, but only had a profile view that didn't show the interior or opening

I'd like to get a good one that can also be used for short term storage and provide some protection for the gun.

Thanks in advance for recommendations

IMO buying some things like clothing or a gun case is best done by going to the store where you can touch and feel. If you're not that particular then buy it off the net using advice from others who's recommendation may or may not coincide with your tastes.

X2 in Allen...I forgot that I have a Allen canvas case that looks just like a Boyt....it cost about half as much.

Bob Allen is part of Boyt.

The soft sided Boyt pistol cases have served me well.... some Ive had for decades.

Guys, I do appreciate the suggestions and liked the looks of the Cabellas/ Allen/ Boyt padded cases (ALL are mostly the same case). Those that have one, does the case or padding absorb water? If so, does it dry out easily?
The hard case I "had" took days to dry the foam" .
If a little rain isn't a problem I'll likely get the Cabellas version of the case. It's looks like what I need.
