Most all my guns have stories attached, like the mint Model 1952 Mannlicher 30/06 I acquired for $75 around 1970 along with 2 boxes of ammo and a case. You see the guy that owned it was a buddy of my uncle and they went deer hunting in Maine every year. He had a Winchester 94 30/30 that he liked to use because it was light and easy to carry. His wife bought him the Mannlicher for a birthday present and while he brought it with him, he never used it because he didn't like the recoil. Or that Model 17 20 gauge that I shot my 1st goose with. Me and my buddy Jack found a spot where the geese were flying over near the harbor in town. I only had the 20 and killed my goose with one #4 shot in the head. Now you can't even discharge a firearm in the town. Or my Savage #99 that when I was finally old enough to go hunting with my uncles and shot a black bear, one in the party said "Who is shooting a semi-Auto?" as I fired 3 shots into the bear in about 2 seconds. But I digress.
