If you liked Ghost Recon and Counterstrike, you'll like this. Realistic military simulation. I was choosing between Battlefield Vietnam, Joint Operations, and Soldner, and Soldner won out. JO has weak vehicles and overpowered snipers (although huge player amounts and beautiful graphics, I do like the 'Black Hawk Down' style gameplay but.. the negatives tip the scale.)

If you feel like it, get the demo. I fool around there when I have some time to kill although I'm picking up the full version later this week.
My only complaints are that the vehicle system (which still works well) feels like how driving vehicles was in Test Drive Offroad 2 for playstation 5 years ago. I'd rather it be more like in 1nsane. And first person is clunky feeling, third person is excellent. If you've already gotten used to Max Payne, Hitman, and GTA3, it just feels right.
The map is around 5 million square miles. Or something. It is literally the size of Siberia, made from satellite data. Every place in the game is in this map, which is what takes 50 seconds to load on a AMD 64 system because it so freaking gigantic. Basicly that means anywhere you'll be playing in the game is a few hundred miles from a few other places, so you could probably find your way from Cold Winter to Riverside, although none of the spawns would be active there and no one else would be there. It's really fun to load up in a Littlebird, fly up to 2000 feet, and parachute down too.

If you get on the demo and see me in a game as Blackburn (you can also REALLY customize how your player looks, down to glasses, face, hat, shirt, camo, boots, etc) I'll bring you up to speed real fast since the demo is documentation-low.
