These had been back burner projects that have been sitting in the drawer. This kitchen slicer was started back around '95-'96. I was learning to hand rub a finish and I wasn't happy with it so put it aside. I'd chipped out the bevel on her Shun a few weeks back and that knife could have used about 2" more length. "I'll finish off mine."

Black paper Micarta bolsters with a recycled cutting board insert. Rubbed to 1200 finish for the practice.
This next one is about '00 vintage and started off with stone handle scales but I didn't like the stone so off they came for some mammoth type ivory. Was disappointed that the brownish bark of the ivory was so thin on the left side. The scales were a near matched pair so I thought.
