Sound Level Meters (for suppressors)

I am looking to get one of these meters, but I don't have a clue what to look for in a meter.
Any tips and recommendations?
I am looking to compare several suppressors.

Don't waste your time and money, unless you want to spend ~$10k. Sound level meters at the consumer level are built around measuring ambient or program noise/sound. The impulse of a gunshot requires much more specialized equipment.

Yep

You'd spend a lot of money purchasing a useful setup like a B&K or Larson Davis with the proper mic and calibration equipment, but you might rent what you're looking for.
