This bill would change the law to honor any and all other state's CCW licenses within South Carolina as long as the other states reciprocated.

It's about time!

Currently, the SC law allows reciprocacy only with states that have equal, or more stringent, CCW licensing requirements . . . and this rules out a lot of states, including my state of Georgia.

Thus, South Carolina residents (with their higher qualification standards) are ironically now denied the opportunity to carry in a lot of CCW states that won't reciprocate with SC due to their different standards.

The new law will open up concealed carry around the country for SC CCW holders . . . and allow us to carry in SC too!!!

Hooray! I currently travel in five Southern states, and only South Carolina will not honor my CCW permit. It's about time! (Ironically, with my military, gun club and competition experience, I WOULD currently qualify for the SC standards if I lived there!)

Maybe one day a CCW license will be as good in all states as a driver's license is.

SC CITIZENS, KEEP PUSHING THIS BILL THROUGH YOUR STATE LEGISLATURE!!!
