Anyone know where I can get a set of factory wood Ruger Speed Six grips at? I do not like the Pachmayr Presentation's that are on it now. It's a 158-.... serial number if that helps. Thanks everyone.

Factory Speed Six wood grips!

There is a correct set of original factory Speed Six wood grips on eBay at this very moment! Go to eBay and search for item number 7156390612. the bid starts at .99 and you can "Buy it now" for $9.95! You better hurry, as somebody could click-on the "Buy it now" in an instant!

NOTE: There is another auction claiming to be Speed Six grips-but, these are the square butt grips for the Security Six and the Service Six-and are incorrect for a Speed Six!

If all you can find are square butt Sec Six grips, it's pretty easy to grind them down to Speed Six dimensions. That's all Ruger did in some cases. I have a Speed Six that's marked Service Six on the side. Ruger just ground the grip down.

I would rather stay away from the ebay type sites. To much trouble for my taste. Any other ideas?

For a gun that's been discontinued for many years, Ebay would probably be your easiest method. Takes about 10 minutes to set up an account.

Ebay is a collector's best friend. Well worth any trouble. In fact, paired with paypal, it's generally less hassle than an online store and the bad experiences you may hear about are probably 1 in a million.
