Spending on 'new' firearms vs. everything else gun-related

Always puzzled me why someone cries and whines about a few hundred dollars extra for the price of a gun when the real expense comes later. You'd think one would want to invest in the best hammer money could buy for driving nails. :)

More ammo than anything else. Not really looking for any new guns. It has become a real pain to find anything to feed them, for one thing.
You are so right about the finding ammo.
I was at PSA in Charleston this week. Wanted some 38 special target ammo. They didn't have any.
Should I buy a 357 Sig? They had it!
I try not to add to the problem. I replace what I shoot.

Other is probably 80-90% of my money.

Even though I seem to be on the gun a month club lately the purchases on accessories and components dwarf the money spent on guns.

Extra magazines, optics/red dots, dies, caliber conversions, powder, primers, occasionally brass, lead, diesel to get to the range, club membership, targets, gadgets, and widgets.
