spent shell ejection

I was watching some Trap shooting on TV and the shooters semi-auto 12 G gun didn't eject the shells all the way. They would get conveniently stuck in the breech making it so he didn't have to pick them up off the ground, is there some device that makes it do that? I'm sure it wasn't a malfunction and was done on purpose.

Just a clip on shell catcher. I can't think of the name at the moment but there was another thread about them about a month or two back.

Probably a T&S catcher. There's others, most made by stamping out sheet metal.
