Springfield XD-45 Gap to .460 Rowland?

I am looking to purchase another Springfield XD-45 to convert to .460 Rowland. My XD has a 4" barrel and I need the 5" for the conversion. I found a great deal on a XD-45 Gap, but I don't have any interest unless it can be converted. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I wanting the .460 to take camping in grizzly country with my family. Last year we packed with Super Redhawk .44 Mag, a SW 586 .357, or a double barrel .410 loaded with .000 buck slugs, but none were ideal.

I don't think the conversion would work, I may be wrong. I think the GAP frame is slimmer...

Yeah right off the bat the .45 GAP has a smaller frame than .45 ACP. That was the only selling point for it.

IIRC the only XD that is readily converted to the .460 is the " Tactical " model ( 5"bbl) .45acp. The reason for this is that it uses a " conventional" recoil spring system rather than the captive system of the 4" and smaller xd pistols . At least one maker of the conversions is only making them for the 5" last i knew .
