I discovered a excellent deal on a new Springfield XD 9 SC
NIB with 2 mags .. one a 13rd the other a 16rd ...
This is not my first XD ,
I owned a HS2000 back in 1999 ,
I have owned two XDS one in 9 the other in 45
I have owned a XD 45acp tachical also
All were great pistols... So Im back in the XD business

Nice. They are some great deals online for the XD pistols right now. I use to have a HS2000 also.

Seems like Springfield is offering a XD Defender with one mag in a cardboard box at lower cost ... So you can get a XD mid size or compact for less than a Ruger Security 9 or the same price as a S&W SD and for just about 50-75 bucks more than a Taurus PT111 G2.

I have had one for about 5 years and think it is an excellent gun, in every way an equal to the GLOCK pistol. I prefer the XD9 Sub Compact to the GLOCK 26. The GLOCK is more compact, but to me, the grip on the XD9 is much better than the GLOCK. It is longer, it comes with an extended mag if you want to use it. I think the grip safety is a nice feature and overall, I enjoy shooting the XD9 SC more than the GLOCK 26 by a significant margin. I think things are more equal when you get to the mid-size pistols like the GLOCK 19.
My major dislike is the short barrel, but SPRINGFIELD offers the XDM with a 3.8 inch barrel and same short grip if I decide I want to change. Not now for me.

How much did you pay ? Right after S.A. announced that they were selling the XD9 SC and the XD9 Service at a lower price and calling it the "Defender Series" , I found one and it was $299. Mine had 1 mag and came in a hard case.

To me this is the greatest deal going right now. Double stack 9mm that is extremely reliable and well proven for under $300. It takes the flush 13 rd magazines and the high rd mags.

I remember when I purchased the HS2000 .. I purchased it at a alternator repair shop and gun store... I'm thinking I picked it up in March of 2000
just before my birthday ( early self-gift)
I paid $250 OTD ... It came in a " just big enough " cheap flimsy plastic box with 2 mags ... It was my second polymer framed pistol .. a Ruger P95 was my first ... I'll never forget just how great the HS2000's trigger was ...
I kept it for just over 12yrs , traded to a fellow who had to have it ... I traded it for $100.00 and a Ruger Security Six
( I still have it )

A Ruger Security Six ! WOW ! That's a great revolver and a great trade. The HS2000 is very nice but that revolver is not made anymore and just is hard to beat.

Im still awaiting for delivery...... Still waiting

I hear some have came in cardboard boxes but mine was in a plastic regular Springfield case like yours. Is yours labeled "Defender" ? The reason I ask is cause the one like I got only comes with 1 magazine. Yours seems to be the older regular way they come but normally they are priced higher like $499 or more.

Im just about sure mine is a Essential package ... But it was priced like a Defender package.
