Picked up a bi-tone XDM in 9mm last week and took her to the range for the first time this morning. All my other pistols are Colt 1911s or my single BHP, so the grip angle on the XDM was immediately familiar. I picked it up mainly as a carry weapon for a bike trip coming up later this week. A bit lighter than my "real" pistols, and 20 round capacity sure sounds good to me.
Without any particular extra care, big ragged holes at 10 yards were very easy to produce. Even at 15 yards, slightly larger ragged holes were produced. Save for the few odd trigger yanks (my fault) she shoots very nicely. I can't shoot her as straight as my 1911s yet. I can, however, already shoot her better than my stock '86 BHP.
I can't imagine anyone wouldn't e tickled pink with an XDM in any flavor.
YMMV,
-Matt
