I was at the range last night, running my standard reloads. 4.4 w-231, 115gr RN from MBC, CCI primers. I ran 93 rounds and had 6 light primer strikes. I inspected the rounds, it does look like a light hit compared to the to the fired and inspected brass. I ran two mags of some blazer factory ammo and had 2 light strikes on those.

The only modification is a ghost ultimate trigger connector. Mag disconnect is still in place.

The entire lower end was cleaned when I installed the ghost last week. Barrel was cleaned after my last outing. I have never torn down the top half and cleaned, could this be my problem?

Guns is serial #331-XXXX, has a round mag release button.

Remove it, put the stock one back in and see if it still continues. Contact ghost for advice if you determine that the part is the source of your issue.

Perhaps a related anecdote:

I started getting a heavier trigger pull on my SR40 after about 3K worth of shooting cast loads (mostly MBC bullets, but some Dardas and some Kead) with minimal cleaning other than barrel brushing and new lube on the rails. I pulled the striker end plate off the slide (it was pretty intuitive on how to remove the striker, once looked at), cleaned the striker and the striker tunnel in the slide, lightly lubed it all, and reassembled. The amount of goo in the striker tunnel from the cast bullet lube was, um, substantive, and all that goo will impede both the rearward and forward motion of the striker. You may want to undertake the same cleaning, just to rule that out as a possible source of the issue.

Failing that, it may be that the Ghost is releasing the striker before it's fully tensioned.

All good comments. A good clean of the striker would be my first stop including any gunk preventing the striker from going all the way forward.

Then the ghost.

If a lot of rounds maybe a new striker spring or check cracked black toobey thing.

Hope that helps.
