I bought this solvent from a BP gun parts dealer in the early 90's and never used it much. The label description appears to be similar to Hoppe's Number 9 Plus BP Solvent & Patch Lube, but it isn't a mixture that needs to be shaken.
It smells like a "sweet" petroleum distillate, and it claims to not interfere with ignition so that it can be used as a patch lube, and that spraying the entire gun with it will delay the need for a thorough cleaning after shooting.
The company has moved since this can was made, and in 2003 was listed as:
TDP Industries, PO Box 249, Ottsville, PA 18942
610-847-7105 610-847-4694
As I recall, it worked pretty good but maybe wasn't the most effective cleaner for Pyrodex fouling, but I never tried it as a patch lube.
I would buy this product again if it's still available, and I think it might have good properties for revolver shooters too, especially at the range or in the field since it doesn't interfere with ignition.
Anyone else ever use this product as a patch lube or as a cleaner?
