Hey everyone. Just a quick update to let you know that I've pushed the date on the Applied CQB Concepts course to July 12, 13 & 14th. There were a lot of schedule conflicts for the students and it give us the opportunity to complete two additional construction projects at the range as well.

I appreciate everyone's flexibility and patience and we'll see you next month!

Class Description: The Applied CQB Concepts (ACC) course is designed to introduce capable shooters to beginner, intermediate and advanced CQB concepts using a proven crawl, walk run methodology based on materials from MSG Paul Howe (RET), the owner of Combat Shooting and Tactics. Using this system the student will progress from flat range diagnostics, to modules such as shooting standards, shooting on the move, discrimination, precision shot placement, multiple target engagements, and ammo/cover/movement management. The ultimate goal of the ACC course is to bring the student to a level where by the second day, they understand the concepts and associated dangers/limitations of weapons usage in a CQB environment both alone and in team roles.

Prerequisites: This class is best attended by shooters who already have attained at an intermediate to advanced skill level with their pistol and rifle and are ready to move to the next level. The 2nd day of this class will utilize the shoothouse located at the range.

Equipment Needed:

- Rifle with 3 magazines (5 or more suggested, and backup weapon is never a bad idea)
- Pistol with 3 magazines (5 or more suggested, and backup weapon is never a bad idea)
- Quality Belt with holster and magazine pouches (quality Kydex such as CompTac, Raven Concealment, Bladetech suggested) SOFT NYLON HOLSTERS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED FOR SAFETY REASONS.
- Appropriate pouches to carry pistol and rifle magazines are recommended
- Rifle rated armor plates and appropriate plate carrier is REQUIRED for the advanced materials on the afternoon of day 2. Email us for for affordable options on this requirement, loaners MAY be available, but this isn't a given.
- 400rds of rifle ammo
- 250rds of pistol ammo
- Rifle Sling (1 or 2 point, but NO 3-POINT SLINGS, NO CARRY STRAPS)
- Weapon cleaning kit (cleaning rod, bore brushes, patches, rags, cleaning & lubricating oil, toothbrush)
- Hat, Rain or inclement weather gear
- Wraparound Eye and ELECTRONIC Ear protection IS MANDATORY
- Water / Snacks (we’ll take an hour lunch break around noon, but we do NOT LEAVE THE RANGE)
- Sun Screen (non-greasy or water resistant recommended)

I suggest that you wear comfortable shoes, and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Instructor: Kelly Hohnholz received his pistol instructor and shoothouse/cqb certification from MSG Paul Howe (RET) at CSAT and his training and instruction resume is available on request.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Because of people cancelling I've had to institute policy regarding cancellations. I looked at other trainers and came up with the following, which is subject to change.

All attendees must be paid no later than 30 before the class starts.
Cancellations more than 15 days out are subject to a 30% cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 15 days out are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

If for some reason you need to attend a different class but would like to attend on another date, you are subject to a change fee (at the same rates above) to switch from one date to another. I cannot afford to have people call me a handful of days before the class, leaving me with an unsold seat and then expect a full tuition credit towards another class.

Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
