Stag vs. Rock River Arms Left-handed models

I've been looking at getting a lefty AR-15, and up until recently the best option seemed to be Stag Arms, but I saw that Rock River released a new lefty model at Shot Show 2012. It was also pointed out to me that the Stag rifles have an upward opening dust cover and that the lower is just a regular right handed one. Are there any other significant differences between the two rifles? does either one have a clear advantage in being lefty friendly?

also, has anyone actually shot the new RRA model?

I am in the hunt for a Stag 3GHL upper and have not been able to procure one yet. I'm building a rifle for my Dad so I have no experience shooting a lefty gun. The 3GHL or 3GL complete rifle looked like one heck of a total package while being rock solid and unique at the same time. Good luck finding something on a shelf that just released at SHOT.

Other than the brass coming out the other side, nothing about them is any more lefty friendly than a normal AR.

I'd go with Stag, RRA is a good company, but they just got into the lefty business, Stag has been doin it since they hung out their shingle.

I'm a lefty but have the right handed version in RRA. The predator pursuit. With the built in brass deflector most AR 15's come in I really do not see the benefit in owning a left hand model only. I have fired close to 600 rounds without ever getting hit by brass. I purchased the right handed model simply because if I chose to sell later to finance another project I am not limited to buyers.

I have no experience with a RRA but, I picked up a Stag model 6 super varminter several weeks ago, and am more than happy with it. Its more accurate than I am, and build quality is excellent.

I see more Stags in my future.
