I am about to order a holster for my 4.2" SP101. This will be used solely for carry outside my belt (open carry) and will see a lot of woods time. I'm looking for something that balances svelte carry and protection for the gun.
I really like the idea of the Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake. It appears to be very protective but I fear it will also be very large (it appears to be larger than needed in the pictures) and will get in the way of carrying this small frame revolver.
On the other hand is the very trim Lobo Model 1 Pancake holster. This appears to be as trim as possible which makes me fear those adjustable rear sights may get knocked off.
I am leaning towards the Lobo right now.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
