A Star BM is a bit slimmer (and, IMO, more "elegant") than a 1911/Government Colt, but will fit most holsters made for them. It's very close to "Commander" dimensions. (Be nice to the safety -- I've had a corner of the slide crack off where the steel's very thin between the safety notch ouitside and rail groove inside).
I have a Fobus paddle holster for mine, plus any number of random pieces of 1911-sized gunleather the hubby has set aside, and they all work fine for the BM. The Fobus has excellent retention.
Most "1911" size holsters are okay for the Star PD, too, more-or-less a lightweight .45 cal edition of the BM.
