Status of Nikon Scopes?

I think we’re being fed a line. Way too many guys have started rant threads here and elsewhere, and too many of us have spoken to Nikon directly regarding their warranty repair replacement AND about their change last year to their warranty policies for their rifle scopes, such being distracted by this one red herring report and baseless assumption of competitor product replacement simply isn’t apt.

All my Nikons were purchased before the warranty change. In fact, the one I just sent last month was discontinued several years ago, and I bought it almost a decade now that I think about it. Damn..I'm getting old fast!

But anyway, I did have to show proof of purchase, which thanks to MidwayUSA I was just able to pull up my receipt from way back then....they had the parts, which is a good sign.

The whole thing may be meaningless anyway. From what I've seen, Nikon in general is really on the ropes. They go under...any warranty doesnt matter.

It's a shame about Nikon because at one point they made some of the finest cameras ever made. The Nikon F5 was probably the best professional camera of the 35mm age.
