It seems like a lot of the members on this board are assuming that any anti-gun legislation will be a stand alone bill that can be discussed on it merits.
I think it is much more likely that anti-gun legislation will metaphorically be a note written in crayon on the back of page 666 of some 2000+ page omnibus bill covering things far far removed from firearms. As such, much more difficult to defeat or even discuss.
After all who can vote against legislation that supports mom, motherhood, apple pie, and cute babies just because there are a few words about confiscating evil black rifles from people that don't need them for hunting Bambi anyway.
Do you have any suggestions on how we can fight stealth legislation like the above???
